Hi. I'm BLUE SPARTAN. It sounds strange to some, but I wear a blue spandex suit to help people. I walk around the streets of Superior, WI, and try to help. I call myself a Real-life Superhero (RLSH). I call myself a Helper. What I do not call myself is a vigilante.

Being a RLSH overly isn't crime-fighting in the traditional sense. That's assault. You hit someone, and unless they are a known criminal, the one with the spandex mask on would be to blame.

Anyone can be a superhero. Many people would say they don't have superpowers. But the thing is, you don't need them. What makes you a superhero, what makes you different from the rest, is that you don't turn your back to crime.

My philosophy is that one random act of kindness can brighten someones day. So that's what I do. I just try to be the best example in my normal life. Whether that be at school, at home, or just in the community, treating others with respect and kindness, like you would want to be treated, is always the best practice.

Lately, I've been looking into bullying. And it doesn't just happen with kids. Anyone can be bullied, but that doesn't mean that Anyone could be a victim.

Don't let yourself be a victim. Stand up for yourself. Be your own superhero.

And don't stop there. Help people. Smile. Make a new friend. Think about how much our community has given us. Give back.
